Buy Now, Pay Later

At True Toys we offer a number of ways to spread the cost of your order.

Buy Now, Pay Later options are a form of credit. They can be a useful way to manage a purchase, but they are not free money — you are entering a credit agreement, and missing payments can result in charges and can affect your ability to borrow in future. Please consider whether the repayments are affordable for you before choosing one of these options.

Availability, eligibility and spending limits are decided by the provider, not by us, and are subject to status. Finance options are not available on gift cards.

PayPal Pay in 3 (UK)

PayPal Pay in 3 splits your order into three payments.

How it works

  1. Select PayPal at checkout and choose Pay in 3.
  2. The first third is taken at purchase.
  3. The remaining two payments are taken monthly.

What you need to know

  • This is a credit agreement provided by PayPal, subject to status and approval.
  • Available on orders between £30 and £2,000, for UK residents aged 18 or over.
  • You can repay early at no cost.
  • Missing payments can result in charges and can make future borrowing harder or more expensive.

The legal bit

Pay in 3 is an unregulated credit agreement, so you will have fewer protections under this agreement than you would under a regulated credit agreement. Carefully consider whether the purchase is affordable and how you will make the repayments. Be aware of the possible impact of using Pay in 3 and of missing payments, including making other borrowing more difficult or more expensive.

Pay in 3 eligibility is subject to status and approval. 18+ UK residents only. Available for purchases of £30 to £2,000. Terms and conditions apply.

PayPal Pay in 3 is a trading name of PayPal UK Ltd, Whittaker House, Whittaker Avenue, Richmond-Upon-Thames, Surrey, United Kingdom, TW9 1EH.

Klarna

We work with Klarna to offer more than one way to pay.

Pay in 3

Your order is split into three payments — one at purchase, then two more at 30 and 60 days. No interest if you pay on time.

Pay in 30 days

Nothing is taken at checkout. The full amount is due 30 days later. No interest if you pay on time.

What you need to know

  • Both are credit agreements. Klarna decides eligibility, subject to status, and may carry out a credit check.
  • Missing a payment may result in charges from Klarna and may affect your ability to borrow in future.
  • Order value thresholds apply and are set by Klarna. They can change, so the option you see at checkout is the accurate one.

If you are having difficulty paying, contact Klarna directly as early as possible.

Clearpay

1. What is Clearpay?

Clearpay is a payment service that lends customers a fixed amount of credit to make purchases instantly and then pay for them in 4 automatic instalments, made every 2 weeks, without any interest (late fees apply). Please use Clearpay responsibly.

The service is provided by Clearpay Finance Ltd. Clearpay Plans are deemed authorised and regulated by the Financial Conduct Authority for the purposes of the Temporary Permission regime for Regulated Deferred Payment Credit. Details of the Temporary Permission regime, which allows firms to carry on deferred payment credit activities while seeking full authorisation, are available on the Financial Conduct Authority’s website.

2. How do I use Clearpay?

Just shop on TrueToys and check out as normal. At checkout, choose Clearpay as your payment method. You’ll be directed to Clearpay to log in or create an account and provide your payment details (Visa or Mastercard).

If you’ve used Clearpay before, simply log in to complete your order.

3. Where can I use Clearpay?

Take a look at the Clearpay Shop Directory to check out our amazing partners where you can use Clearpay.

4. Who can use Clearpay?

Clearpay is only available to permanent UK residents aged 18+ (excluding Channel Islands) with a UK billing address.

Customers with international billing addresses will not be able to use Clearpay or create a Clearpay account. Other eligibility criteria apply, including creditworthiness and affordability assessments. See Clearpay Terms of Service for further details.

5. How does the Clearpay payment schedule work?

Clearpay will split the total value of your order into 4 instalments payable every fortnight. The exact amounts and dates will be displayed for you to agree to before you confirm your purchase.

If you would like to make additional unscheduled payments before they are due, you may log into your Clearpay account to make your payments early. Clearpay will then adjust the amount owed accordingly.

You can log in to your Clearpay account anytime to view your payment schedule or make a payment before the next due date.

6. What if I can't pay a Clearpay instalment?

If you cannot make a payment, please contact Clearpay.

As soon as you miss a payment, Clearpay will immediately stop you from making any further purchases with Clearpay.

Clearpay will give you until 11pm on the following day to make your repayment and then you will incur a late fee if you are still not able to make the payment by then. This will be an initial £6 and a further fee of £6 if the missed payment is not made within 7 days. If your order is less than £24, the total late fee will be £6. If your order is £24 or over, total late fees will not exceed 25% of the total order or £24, whichever is less.

Late payments may affect future spending limits. We may also report your late payment data to credit reference agencies. This could have a negative impact on your credit file, and could make it harder to obtain credit in future.

Clearpay debt may be passed to a debt collection agency and this may affect your ability to use Clearpay in future. We encourage you to use Clearpay responsibly. Please see Clearpay Terms of Service for further details.
